Bridges between the worlds of art and luxury are not new.
 
It is with great pleasure that Filafriques, the new contemporary African art gallery in Geneva, and Kumesu, the African luxury brand, invite you to the first edition of Art & Fashion

For this Christmas sales edition, you will discover artwork of 3 artists who integrate fashion in their creations: Hasselblad award winning photographer Gavin Goodman from South Africa, conceptual photographer Roasted Kweku from Ghana and multidisciplinary artist Myriam Koné from Ivory Coast and Switzerland.
 
The luxury brand Kumesu from the DRC Congo is the guest of honour at the opening and will present its unique creations that integrate Kuba art with embroidered carpets, wall hangings with infinite geometric shapes in its capsule collection.

For this occasion and to deeper their collaboration,Myriam Koné will exclusively perform in live a painting on a Kumesu’s handbag on a saxo play. The piece of artwork resulting will be sold in auction. Major pieces of artwork from Filafriques rising stars will also be sold in auction.
 
A beautiful fusion between contemporary African art and fashion.
 
The event will take place in the heart of the famous Mövenpick Hotel in Geneva, the new official showroom of the Filafriques gallery.
